I love J Crew, but, are these deals even that good?

I see J Crew sales slide into my inbox everyday. They seem to modify their prices based on the deal. One day its buy 1 $50 shirt get 1 free. Next day its, buy two shirts for $25 a piece. Anybody else keep up with this? I just feel like it's kind of misleading for new subscribers of this sub...

What is the big deal about Sarah J Maas? Does she get better?

This year Kingdom of Ash won at the Goodreads awards for YA Fantasy by a landslide, especially compared to “Skyward” by Brandon Sanderson, who I believed to be more renowned within the fantasy community.
I read about a third of Sarah’s “Throne of Glass” and couldn’t stand it. The concept was good, but the main character was annoying as all hell and the prose was amateurish. The first review on Goodreads for ToG was negative, and I agreed with it.
Why is this woman so celebrated within the genre? Do her books get better?

The first 2 books in the ToG series are trash. It's very obvious between the writing, the characters, and the overall progression of the plot that this is something that was started when she was 16.
The 3rd novel is where she really comes into her own as a writer and the overall plot of series finally starts to come into play. Personally I had to force myself to finish Throne of Glass after I put it down for a year+ when I started it. I don't even remember what happened in most of the 2nd novel (I don't even remember what it's called) but I was completely engrossed by the 3rd book and every book after.
There are definitely worthy criticisms about her writing and prose but I can say that she does get better and a lot of the hype around her series is well deserved.
